Join Our Board

The Hampton Roads Philharmonic is always interested in hearing from individuals who would like to serve on our Board of Directors.

Our Board meets each month virtually and supports the organization’s finances, planning, fundraising, community connections, and overall operations. Board members serve two-year terms and are eligible for re-election. The expected time commitment is usually about 1-2 hours per month.

We are especially interested in individuals with experience in fundraising, community outreach, arts administration, nonprofit leadership, finance, marketing, education, or related areas. There is no formal giving requirement, but we are looking for board members who are active, responsive, and willing to support the orchestra's work.

The Hampton Roads Philharmonic showcases the community’s rich musical talent through concerts and programs throughout the season. Our orchestra includes active and retired military members, music teachers, students, senior citizens, working professionals, and young musicians. HRP welcomes familiar and new composers alike and works to bring live orchestral music to audiences across the region.
